Kids Day at the Alaska Zoo by Global Credit Union

Calling all kids to the zoo on April 27th for Kids Day! Our friends at Global Credit Union are sponsoring a day for kids to have FREE zoo entry along with lots of fun activities. Youth ages 3-17 are allowed free entry on Saturday April 27th with event activities from 10am-3pm. The zoo will remain open until 5pm, last entry at 4:30pm. Free youth entry will apply to the entire day. Old and new admissions will be utilized to reduce lines. The entry point at the old admissions cabin will be credit card payment only, with all forms of payment accepted at the main zoo entrance. Visitors ages 18 and over will pay regular adult rates at the gate. Activities from 10am-3pm will include animal enrichment, animal mascots on the trails, a welcome table at the front entrance, a games center at the zoo picnic pavilion, old entrance cabins entry point for credit cards only, cotton candy for sale, an animal trivia prize wheel, animal tattoos, a moose awareness station run by education staff, a moose photo booth at the moose/coyote trail, paper antlers available for pictures, a 360° photo booth in front of the old elephant house, and Kape Espresso Tayo Zoo Coffee Shop and the Gift Shop will be open for business. Reminder: Carpool when possible to help us avoid traffic congestion. We will have overflow parking on the zoo’s new property. Please be kind to zoo neighbors and park on zoo property.
