Burbank, CA - Genetic Genealogy 2023, hosted by the Southern California Genealogical Society, will be presented from March 31 to April 2 at the SCGS Library and the Burbank Masonic Lodge, located on Irving Drive in Burbank. Presented in person and online, the conference will feature keynote speaker Dr. Ugo P. Pergo, PhD., MSc., who will explore "Twenty-Five Years in Genetic Genealogy", on Friday, March 31, at 5 p.m. PST.
Conference topics include DNA research tools, unknown parentage, DNA testing and more. Registration, fees, and schedule at https://genealogyjamboree.com/ In addition to meeting and networking with like-minded genetic genealogy enthusiasts, participants can register for 15-minute consultations with genealogy experts on April 1 at the event for $10. Events on Sunday, April 2, include roundtable discussions from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. exploring topics such as Y-DNA, the Leeds Method, GEDmatch, unknown parentage, and the DNA Painter tool. Sunday’s roundtable events are free to the public, but registration is required.
