The Long Beach Chorale & Chamber Orchestra is proud to announce its final concert of the 2022/2023 season in celebration of the beauty and splendor of the oceans and its inhabitants. Celebration of the Seas will be held at the Honda Pacific Visions Theater, located at the world-renowned Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach on Sunday, June 11 at 7:00pm.
The concert will feature a diverse range of choral music inspired by the ocean and its many creatures. Led by Conductor Matthew Martinez, the Chorale will perform an array of pieces that pay tribute to the majesty of the oceans and the wonders that lie beneath its surface.
The concert will feature a variety of songs elebrating the seas, from familiar songs such as Under the Sea from Disney’s The Little Mermaid to Rachel Boast’s poignant poem Silent Sea about climate change set to music by Sally Lamb McCune. There will also be a few surprises thrown in! This promises to be a fun evening for the entire family.
Doors open at 6:30 pm and the concert begins at 7:00 pm. There will be a no-host bar available for audience members to enjoy beverages before the performance. Tickets are $25 per adult (ages 12+) and $15 for students with valid ID and children ages three to eleven. Tickets are available on the LBCCO website at https://longbeachchorale.org/join-us/#tickets
