Calling All Caring Canines!

Loving Animals Providing Smiles (LAPS) is sponsoring a FREE screening and educational event open to community members age 16 and older and their people-friendly dogs age 6 months and older. Find out if you and your dog might be successful as a volunteer animal-assisted therapy team.

If you have done some training with your dog, we can help you take the next step. LAPS volunteers will be on-site to share their experiences with this rewarding work. LAPS teams serve children, teens and adults in Napa and Solano Counties.

This free review is not a qualification, but a preliminary screening for owner and dog to identify their potential for future animal-assisted therapy work. All dogs must be licensed, vaccinated against rabies, on a 6-ft or shorter leash (no flexi's) and a fabric collar or front-clip harness. No metal prong or chain collars or head halters.
