Great San Diego Scavenger Hunt

Introducing the first annual GREAT SAN DIEGO SCAVENGER HUNT, on Saturday, August 27, 2022.  

Gather your most intrepid pals and join us for the ADVENTURE of a lifetime! Explore the hidden gems and local haunts of some of San Diego’s most beloved neighborhoods, all while supporting small businesses and communities across America’s Finest City.

YOUR MISSION, should you choose to accept it, will commence at 8am at North Park Mini Park, where teams of one to four players will converge for the inaugural Great San Diego Scavenger Hunt Kick-Off.

Participating neighborhoods across San Diego will feature five scavenger hunt stops within their area, with each stop providing an opportunity to complete a mission.  

Put your thinking cap on and practice your secret handshake because this scavenger hunt will put even the most resourceful to the test. Expect to decipher clever riddles, teasing tongue twisters, pop quizzes and more!

Missions will be a mix of the following submissions: Photo, Video, Text and GPS Check-In. Each mission will be assigned a difficulty level and corresponding point value. Extra bonus points will be awarded to teams and individuals that display creativity, flair and resourcefulness during game play.

While we can’t divulge the TOP SECRET scoring formula just yet- don't be afraid to start brainstorming now! Think using the city's bike lanes to race to your next mission or decking your whole team out in high heels for a dance-off mission in a favorite local watering hole. Don't forget to check back with your team captain as the event approaches to find out more.

Afterwards,  regroup with your team at one of our official afterparty venues - each offering food and drink specials from 4-7pm on Saturday, June 18th. 

Bask in your teams brilliant performance and toast your unparalleled genius with a cold beverage and a snack (or two)!  

Our official afterparty venues will also display the live leaderboard as well as a event highlight reel. Did we mention awesome prizes?! Teams will get the chance to win awesome staycations, gift cards to your favorite eateries, and fun local experiences! Plot out your strategy for next year during the virtual awards ceremony- where we will crown winners in various categories.
