Musicians from all over the world with thriving careers saw their professional lives came to a grinding halt within the span of a few days. Experiencing a Shelter in Place Concerts is an opportunity to share your passion for music with your families in the comfort of your own home and an opportunity to help these amazing artists keep their careers alive.
Alex Conde | April 18th | Jazz Flamenco pianist Alex Conde has studied and collaborated with jazz stars such as George Garzone, Danilo Perez, Dave Santoro, and Grammy Award-winners Joe Lovano, Maria Schneider, Wayne Shorter, and Esperanza Spalding. Son of the legendary singer Alejandro Conde.
Badi Assad | April 25th | Ranked by Rolling Stone as one of the top female guitarists, Badi Assad has received numerous international awards in her career. Assad is from musical royalty (Brazil's acclaimed Assad family). She has appeared in a variety of musical settings - from classical concerts with The Assad Brothers to jazz festivals with Pat Metheny and Larry Coryell - and performed with artists including Bobby McFerrin, Yo-Yo-Ma, and Sarah McLaughlin. As a vocalist and percussionist, she is a true innovator inspiring audiences and critics worldwide with a unique combination of technical mastery and innovative style.
Ian Maksin | May 1st | cellist, composer, and multilingual vocalist Maksin has been the principal cellist under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas, mentored by Rostropovich, Yo-Yo Ma, and other renowned cellists. He has crossed musical genres performing and recording with such artists as Sting, Andrea Bocelli, P. Diddy, Snoop Dog, Gloria Estefan, and Barry Gibb. He sings in 23 languages.
