Connect with beautiful ofrendas (altars) from this year's Dia de los Muertos celebrations in San Francisco's Mission District. At this temporary exhibition focused on the sacred, eight large ofrendas frame the landscape for music, reflection, films, and activities. Walk among offerings to ancestors, the elements, and each other.
Altaristas include Adrian Arias, Mara Brown, Desiree De Lara, Susan Matthews, Gil Mendez, Andrea Paz and Raul Rauda, Cindy Predock, and Danielle Revives. Artifact displays by Danielle Revives and Marigold Project Executive Director Rosa De Anda.
Closing ceremony on Sunday, December 4, 2022. Details to be announced.
Festival of Altars was created in partnership with the Marigold Project.
