The Westchester Arts & Music Block Party (WAM) raises money for a local community garden, the Emerson Avenue Community Garden. WAM (http://www.wamblockparty.org) will take place this year on Saturday, Sept. 21 and features live bands, local performers, artists displaying their creations, kids’ activities, food trucks and a wine and beer garden. The following bands are scheduled to perform on the WAM main stage:
1:00 - 1:55 Mestizo Beat
Influenced by early ‘70’s funk, soul and afro beat artists, this LA band brings a dance party of heavy hitting rhythms that unify the band with their audiences for a crazy fun time.
2:10 - 3:05 Rob Leines Band
Rob Leines’ music was born in the hills of Tennessee. Tempered with a blue collar mix of blues, country and rock and roll, his Americana sound is all his own, and mixed with his on-stage charisma and energy, makes for one heck of a rollicking good time.
3:20 - 4:15 RAINNE
Driven by incredible sax riffs and soaring vocals, this song writing duo and their band bring their dynamic brand of pop grooves to the WAM stage for the second time.
4:30 - 5:25 Rose's Pawn Shop
Put Rock, Country, Bluegrass and Punk in a blender, mix in some heartbreak and redemption, then add incredible 4 part harmonies and you’ll have an idea of Rose’s Pawn Shop’s sound.
5:40 - 6:35 Trapdoor Social
This indie rock band is known for their anthemic songwriting, soaring vocals and musical virtuosity. Trapdoor Social is returning to the WAM stage after providing the highlight of last year’s performances.
6:50 - 7:45 Top Shelf Brass Band
Riverside-based TSBB plays an eclectic mix of hip-hop, trap and pop music that will have you up on your feet shaking your booty before you know what hit you!
