The event is free and open to the public, thanks to the generosity of American Public Education System. The meeting mirrors the interests of the Policy Studies Organization and its partners in promoting multidiscilinary discussion about current issues.
The purpose of the SESA conference is to promote multidisciplinary conversation about issues related to both military and civilian space, at the intersection between science, technology, and policy. The event advances the interest of PSO and its partners in providing a platform for the dissemination of ideas across the social and political spectrum on the emerging field of Space Studies.
As more discussions have emerged throughout the years around space issues across different PSO’s projects, we felt the need to focus on a specific conference dedicated to this theme. At the same time, we will be launching, in cooperation with American Public University System, our new Space Education and Strategic Studies journal, to assist in the dissemination of scholarship
We seek proposals on topics that include, but are not limited to: science, engineering, law, exploration, commercial and military development, education, telecommunications, industry, medicince, defense and security, women in space. Proposals are invited on the intersection of science with ethical and philosophical issues as well. Other topics and suggestions will be most welcome. Our aim is to provide a multidisciplinary platform for conversation and networking. Proposals may be in the form of individual presentations, panels, workshops, roundtables. Suggestions are welcome.
A special invitation is extended to educators and students, with the belief that space has a growing importance in the curriculum.  Everyone is welcome and registration fees are waived because of the generosity of the American Public University System. We only ask that you please register.
