BEHIND THE SCENES LOOK AT FIGHTING HUNGER

This summer, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is inviting the community into the warehouse for an in-person, behind-the-scenes look at its facilities to learn more about hunger in our community and the ways that the nonprofit is meeting this critical need.

On Wednesday, July 6, “Food for Thought” tour participants will get an inside look at the food bank’s active warehouse and distribution center, seeing first-hand how Second Harvest distributes enough food for a quarter of a million meals a day. Attendees will also learn about the different programs the nonprofit maintains to help feed those experiencing food insecurity across Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Volusia and Brevard counties. Anyone interested in the July 6 tour must register by Wednesday, June 29.

Lunch will be offered to tour participants.
