MLK Celebration of Equality.

The Eleventh Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial "Celebration of Equality", hosted by the Caribbean American Cultural Group, Inc. of Port St. Lucie and with the support of the Florida Humanities, will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 12:30, at the Sunlight Community Church, 477 SW Cashmere Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL, 34986. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Ray Hammond, Founder and Senior Pastor of Bethel AME, Boston, MA.
A to-go boxed lunch will be served afterwards in the fellowship hall. CDC guidelines regarding the prevention of Covid-19 (particularly with respect to the wearing of masks and social distancing) will be strictly adhered to at all stages of the day's event!
There is no charge for the event, but attendees will have the opportunity to make a freewill donation. Any proceeds beyond defraying the cost of putting on the event will go to CACG's Scholarship Fund. (In 2020, despite the challenges imposed by Covid-19, CACG managed to award eight scholarships of $1,000 each.)
