EMBRACE FAMILIES TO KICK-OFF MANICURE MOVEMENT® WITH CHARITY RUN ON MARCH 25

AdventHealth Winter Park Road Race to Raise Funds, Awareness about Child Abuse Prevention

WHAT: 

On Saturday, March 25, Embrace Families is inviting Central Floridians to lace up their running shoes to help raise funds and awareness about child abuse prevention.

Embrace Families, the lead nonprofit agency overseeing child welfare in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties, is teaming up with AdventHealth and Track Shack for the 46th annual Winter Park Road Race 10k and 2-mile event. Money raised will support programs and services that help Central Florida families overcome the root causes of abuse, neglect and abandonment. Registered runners and supporters can make donations online.

The MANicure Movement^® is a grassroots effort founded by Embrace Families to start serious conversations about child abuse. Throughout April, child welfare advocates keep one fingernail – usually the index finger – painted blue to draw attention to the fact that one in five children will suffer abuse before the age of 18.
