The Danish American Chamber proudly promotes Danish and international culture in Georgia and has invited the spectacular jazz duo, Mads Tolling, and Jacob Fischer, to perform in Atlanta on October 17, 2019, from 7:30 pm-9:30 pm.

In this performance - honoring the late Danish jazz violinist Svend Asmussen, who was beloved in Scandinavia and known all over the world as “The Fiddling Viking” - Mads Tolling and Jacob Fischer will play a mix of tunes from across the span of Asmussen’s early 1940s and ‘50s collaboration with the Danish guitarist Ulrik Neumann up to his more recent work for quartets. Svend Asmussen’s signature tune “June Night” and the Swe-Danes hit “Scandinavian Shuffle” are on the set list, along with the Danish folk tune “I skovens dybe, stille ro”, as well as songs from The Great American Songboo
