Pine LakeFest is two days of art, music, great food and family-friendly fun on the shores of beautiful Pine Lake, Georgia. Now in its 19th year, this highly interactive festival showcases handmade art and crafts by 45 local and regional artist vendors and live music in a variety of styles.
Activities include chalk drawing and sandcastle contests on the beach with prizes, street performers, a games gazebo and a pet show and parade. Highlights of the weekend will include special guests,“The Seed and Feed Marching Abominables,” and “Floatzilla,” a floating parade with wildly decorated watercraft. The music stage will have a full schedule of bands and performers both days.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 6. Admission and parking are free. Pine Lake is located 12 miles east of Atlanta, between Decatur and Stone Mountain, off Rockbridge Road on Lakeshore Drive, Pine Lake, GA 30072. Park at the entrance and take a free shuttle to lakefront. The lake is surrounded by a park, playground, and wetlands with walking trails.
