Polynesian Carving by Sam Mangakahia

Never carved wood before? No problem! Simply come with a willingness to use your hands and an open mind to learn about the ancient Polynesian art form of telling stories. I will help you with every step, from learning the patterns and meanings to creating your design, putting that design on a piece of wood, and carving it with my help and guidance. In this 1.5 hour experience, you will create a meaningful carved piece. Not only with you take home an incredible art piece, but you will have a deeper understanding of the Polynesian culture. This experience is great for both one-on-one or for small groups of 5 or fewer. I've worked with hundreds of people all around the world who have been able to, with my coaching, create something memorable and beautiful.
