Camera-less Photography Workshops
Ages 10-13 meet Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Campers delve into the fascinating world of camera-less photography, also known as photograms and cyanotypes, as well as build their own pinhole camera. Through hands-on experimentation, kids explore alternative photographic processes using light-sensitive materials, objects, and stencils to create unique images. This activity promotes understanding of light, shadow, and composition while encouraging inventive thinking and problem-solving.
Introduction to Film Photography and Darkroom Processing
Ages 14 -17 meet Monday - Friday 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM
This workshop offers an immersive experience into the almost lost art of film photography. Led by our certified art teacher passionate about traditional photography, campers will embark on a hands-on journey exploring the art and science of film photography. From mastering the operation of SLR cameras to developing negatives and printing photographs in the darkroom, participants will gain valuable skills and insights into the fascinating world of film photography.
