Fans of Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened and Fyre Fraud should prepare for an “immersive music festival experience” as Replay Lincoln Park, Chicago’s favorite arcade bar located at 2833 N. Sheffield Ave., has announced it will transform into the alleged former private island of Pablo Escobar in the Bahamas and host the hottest, “luxury” pop-up of the season: Fyre Festival. Beginning Friday, May 3 and running through Sunday, May 19, guests are invited to enjoy Fyre Festival with live palm trees and rental cabanas in the perfect island paradise. Admission to the Fyre Festival pop-up is free, with VIP tickets available for purchase to attend the opening night extravaganza featuring DJ Matt Roan, DJ Real Co and DJ Orville Kline for $20.
The Fyre Festival pop-up will feature a playlist of mid-to-late 2000’s hits, including plenty of Ja Rule, Major Lazer and music from all the festival’s supposed headliners. With custom artwork, collectable t-shirts and several photo opportunities including a gorgeous sunset mural, with sand, live palm trees, rental cabanas, relief tents, beach chairs and even a fire pit, guests are welcome to sit back, relax and indulge in style. The bar will also serve “gourmet cheese sandwiches” and Evian Water to be enjoyed in VIP tents and villas, which are available for rentals for $50. Throughout the pop-up there are several events including a weenie roast, s’mores night, treasure hunt with prizes and a performance by a Blink 182 cover band.
Replay will offer an extensive frozen specialty cocktail menu featuring tiki drinks, Bahamian beer and commemorative fish bowl cocktails for the duration of the pop-up, including Ja’s Bahama Mama, Pineapple Upside Down Martini, A Goombay Smash, Hibiscus Margarita, Frozen Rum Runner and Andy’s Bahamian Blow Job Shot.
Replay Lincoln Park’s Pop-Up Squad, a group of artists that create the concept, décor and artistic elements of Replay’s popular pop-ups, is behind the design for the Fyre Festival pop-up. The team includes Jeremy Steffen, Raquel Hung, Luis Colindres, Tom Molloy, Tristan Young and Adam Michaels.
Replay offers guests over 60 free vintage arcade games, including pinball, air hockey and more. They also have skeeball and billiards. With no cover or tokens needed, Replay invites guests for great fun 5 p.m. – 2 a.m. Monday – Thursday, Friday 3 p.m. – 2 a.m., 12 p.m. – 3 a.m. Saturday, and 12 p.m. – 2 a.m. Sunday.
