The Ravinia District of Highland Park encourages the public to get out and enjoy the outdoors this Fall with a feel-good walking trivia tour of the town, the continuation of live music, and the addition of fire pits and heaters in its shared al fresco dining space along Roger Williams Avenue, between Burton and Pleasant Avenues.

"With the cold weather coming, we wanted to offer people opportunities to get out and feel-good this Fall and continue to enjoy the great outdoors," states Katie Wiswald, Chair of the Ravinia Business District Special Service Area Advisory Group and Vice President at Highland Park Bank & Trust. "The walking tour shares interesting trivia about businesses in the Ravinia District and offers a way for families and friends to spend a few hours taking a walk, grabbing some food from one of our seven foodservice operations, and picnicking in one of the outdoor spaces in the District. They can choose from the award-winning Rosewood Beach, historical Jens Jensen Park, Brown Park, or one the seven food establishments.

The Ravinia District Walking Trivia Tour of Town was developed to give the public a way to continue to feel-good outdoors while learning about the local businesses and public spaces that make up the quaint, artistic, and friendly Ravinia District of Highland Park. As users participate in the Ravinia District Trivia Tour game, they will have the opportunity to shop, dine, or take-out food and drink to support local Ravinia District businesses.

Players can download the FREE Atlas Experiences App and begin playing the Ravinia District Trivia Tour. This game includes over two-dozen customized trivia questions about the Ravinia District businesses and public spaces. These trivia pieces are in the form of a simple question with hints, and users respond accordingly. Players can find all the answers with a quick internet search.

The Ravinia District is also pleased to announce the continuation of live music through October in the Al Fresco Dining Area along Roger Williams Avenue. The tented area has been enhanced for the Fall with heaters and fire pits to create a warm, cozy atmosphere, and guests are invited to BYO-Blankets.

"With Fall upon us, we wanted to do everything we could to encourage a continued celebration of the community over beers and local food in the Roger Williams Piazza," states Kris Walker, co-owner of Ravinia Brewing Company. "If you come out now, you'll find the live music continuing, an abundance of outdoor heaters, two fire pits, and banners encouraging everyone to BYO-Blanket. Improvements have also been made to allow for limited indoor seating in the case of more extreme conditions. We hope everyone continues to come out – it's going to be a tough winter, and the support will be critical!"
