On May 12th, the Homer Township Public Library and the Lemont Artists Guild present Photo Techniques for Macro Photography, Depth of Field and Soft Focus Photography. Photographer and Instructor, Laurie Piton will give an open discussion/lecture on Macro Photography, Depth of Field and Soft Focus Photography. In her discussion of Macro Photography, she will discuss the different types of macro lenses and macro filters on the market, focusing for macro, and lens opening techniques. In her discussion of Depth of Field, she will discuss what depth of field is, how to control it, how to expand it, and how to use it creatively. In her discussion of Soft Focus Photography, she will discuss image editing techniques and filters on the market. You will have the opportunity to ask questions while discussing these topics. This is a great opportunity to learn about some very useful, creative, and fun photo techniques from an experienced photographer!
Laurie’s photography instruction, called Creative Imagery, Inc., established in 1991, has been offering photography programs to students in a friendly, casual atmosphere. Her classes have equal part instruction and hands-on experience utilizing her experience of on-location assignments to aid students in real life photographic situations.
