When faced with the challenges of the world, we have a choice: be fearful and pessimistic, or find practical solutions for peace and happiness. For many, it feels the world is becoming more and more complicated. New conflicts and challenges appear almost daily. Our minds are becoming busier and more scattered. Craving, anger, and even hatred seem to be increasing. 

Fortunately, there is a solution. Meditation on emptiness has the power to solve all of our problems. Buddha’s revolutionary insights on emptiness, the true nature of things, is a universal panacea that heals our confusion, craving, and other painful ways of thinking. By resolving these inner conflicts within ourselves, we are then uniquely capable to help others solve their problems. This is vitally important in these uncertain times. 

Along with giving teachings on emptiness, Gen-la Dekyong will grant the empowerment of Great Mother Prajnaparamita. Prajnaparamita is a female Buddha who is the manifestation of Buddha’s Perfection of Wisdom. The empowerment is a blissful guided meditation through which we receive wisdom blessings directly from Prajnaparamita’s enlightened mind, empowering us to experience deep healing and real inner progress. By receiving her blessings in this empowerment, we can deepen our experience of ultimate truth and come closer to a lasting answer to all our problems.

A Full Program

The US Festival will begin with an Introduction given by Gen Kelsang Demo. Each morning, Gen Kelsang Chokyi will guide a meditation session. The festival will conclude with a short retreat led by Kadam Morten Clausen. All of these sessions give us an opportunity to become familiar with the teachings and take them to heart so that we and others can benefit from them. Click here to learn more about the Festival Teachers.
