Please Help a Family in Paying Off Debts: GoFundMe

Being a very close friend of a family, I am requesting help from kind souls to assist a family to pay back their debts. The family members are so naive and they requested me for raising funds without disclosing their names or identity.

The head of the household is from South Asia and an international Ph.D. student with a graduate assistantship. They have a newly borned baby. As per USA immigration rules, an international student is only allowed to do on-campus jobs and the other dependents are not allowed to participate in any job. The person has to support his parents (living in his home country) financially. The stipend he gets monthly is not sufficient always. Moreover, during summer, stipends are not guaranteed but they have to pay the house rent and living. Also, immigration rules restrict them to avail any financial benefits for their child. He has to pay the income taxes regularly but he can't claim any child-tax return/credit due to the rules.

Due to various unavoidable circumstances, the person had to borrow money from a few friends and different credit cards. The debt amount is around $15,000 (Fifteen Thousand). Every month he has been trying to pay back the money he took but he fails due to insufficient income/stipend. The very sad thing is that the family can't arrange airplane fares to visit their families for the last few years due to the financial crisis. Even they can't show the baby to its grandparents in their home country. The person is very eager to pay back all the loans he took. He feels frustrated when he thinks of the loans. He is very honest and sincere.
