CHRISTMAS CAROL RETURNS TO KINGSTON
True Rep Theatre returns with Dicken's Classic to Celebrate the Christmas Season
For Immediate Release (Kingston, MA)...True Rep Theatre, back in production after shutting down in April of 2020, is proud to continue a beloved Christmas tradition. This original adaptation of "A Christmas Carol," by Jim Sullivan and Donald Sheehan, takes a fresh look at the beloved character, Ebeneezer Scrooge, in this hour long play with music. In typical True Rep fashion, the focus of this production is on the storytelling. "We chose to get down to the bare bones of this story. It feels appropriate, given all that our community has been through during this pandemic, to focus on, and celebrate, simplicity," said Donald Sheehan, who is also the Artistic Director of True Rep. Jim Sullivan, a local playwright, whose original work "Ellen's Boy's" is next in the True Rep lineup, said, "Just a few actors create 30 characters and give life to a story that will ignite the holiday spirit in the most hard hearted among us."
The show will perform at The Beal House, 222 Main St. in Kingston, on Dec. 3, 4, 10, 11 at 8:00PM, and Dec. 5 and 12 at 3:00PM. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $17 for seniors and students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at http://www.truereptheatre.com There will be complimentary beverages and sweets, as well as raffle items at all performances.
