This is a two woman show featuring the art work of Liz Nania and Jeanne-Marie Crede. Colleagues for nearly two decades, Nania and Crede explore the intense power of artistic influence on each other’s work. Both artists use found material: Nania paints and creates textile art by de- constructing and re-assembling antique linens and embroideries, while Crede makes collages and assemblages with objects found in thrift stores and on the street.Nania will also be showing paintings in encaustic and acrylic. Some of the work is personal, some is political and feminist, some is spiritual and many pieces show the artists’ shared fascination with weaving threads from the past into new forms.,-Wax,-Glue-and-Thread
