Join us for the Taunton River Festival,
June 9th, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm,
Weir Village Riverfront Park, East Water Street, Taunton.

The Taunton River Watershed Alliance (TRWA) is hosting its annual festival on the banks of the Wild and Scenic Taunton River in celebration of National Rivers Month. TRWA's mission is to protect and restore the Taunton River Watershed’s natural resources for current and future generations.

When we say our festival has something for everyone, we really mean it.
Bring the whole family. It’s free, accessible with enjoyment for all ages. Pick up the day’s schedule at the park entrances so you can plan to:

Shop
Meet over 40 crafters, artists, authors, photographers, cosmetic and specialty food vendors.

Enjoy varied music styles
Listen to traditional songs performed by the Taunton Civic Chorus.
The Jethros will perform folk, blues, soul, swing-jazz, bluegrass, funk and country music.
The Hot Club Cheese Roll will add a mix of jazz standards and more contemporary hits interpreted in the gypsy jazz/hot club style.
Watch the dances of talented students of the Silver City Dance Center.

Savor the food
Don’t pass up the irresistible food, including hotdogs any way you like them from County Fare Hot Dogs, ice cream and novelties from Frosty Friends Ice Cream and Treats, Mexican gourmet `from Gonzalez Food Truck, and a variety of barbecue selections from South Shore Smokehouse.

Visit the non-profits
Take the Historic Taunton walking tour.
As a special focus, we are proud to have fifteen environmental non-profits with activities for children and experts on hand to talk about their work. Non-profit memberships make good gifts too.

At the TRWA tables, children will learn how to protect watersheds using our realistic hands-on model. The Bristol County Agricultural High School Environmental Conservation Department will host an always popular table with pelts, live animals, and other items associated with marine and wildlife sciences.
Ms. T, TRWA’s rescue diamondback terrapin education mascot, a festival favorite, will be visiting.

Over a dozen service businesses and human services organizations will also be on hand too.

Park with convenience at 391 West Water Street, and take the shuttle to the park.
There is no rain date.
