Loki. Thor. Odin. Freya.

Just a few familiar names in the Norse pantheon worshipped by Heathens.

Heathen. It’s a word that is sometimes used as a synonym for pagan and much more frequently used as a slur. And yet, Heathenry is a growing religious movement not only in the US, but around the globe. In fact, it recently was named as the second official religion of Iceland!

But just what do Heathens believe? How and who do they worship?

Join us for an Introduction to Heathen Religion! We will discuss a variety of topics, from various branches of Heathen practice to Heathen Magic and the Runes. We will explore what it means to be a part of a Reconstructed Religion, and how practitioners find the broken threads to reknit this Pre-Christian religion in the modern age.

Snow has been a practicing Heathen for more than a decade and is an ordained Gythia (priestess). She has in the past served as the Steer of both The Troth and Michigan Trufolk, and has been honored as an advisor by the Michigan Department of Corrections for her work with prison chaplains across the state and has designed and led rituals in several institutions across the Midwest. She has published a devotional to the goddess Skadi titled Lady of the Mountain Hall. Currently, she is the Ombudsman for the Ring of Ghosti, a pan-Indo-European Church.
