The conference is an important opportunity for FTD clinicians, researchers, trainees, patients, and caregivers from around the world to share knowledge with the goal of improving care. The focus is on the presentation of new data relating to FTD spanning the key areas of clinical, neuropsychology, neuroimaging, genetics, biofluid markers, molecular biology, neuropathology, animal models and treatment. While established investigators present updated concepts and breakthroughs, involvement by trainees are highlighted via oral and poster presentations. A concurrent educational session for patients and family members covering diagnosis, management, support and empowerment is also provided.
