On this year of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11, the Carolina Concert Choir is joining the Asheville Symphony Chorus and Orchestra to present two concerts called Prayers and Remembrances, to honor those who perished on 9/11 and those who have succumbed to COVID-19 since its onset.

The choirs and orchestra will present compositions by the American composers Stephen Paulus and Rene Clausen, written to commemorate 9/11. These are exceptional, contemporary pieces that will stir your recollections of the events of 9/11 and memories of relatives and friends who have been lost to COVID-19. Both compositions reflect the tragedy involved but end with hope for the future and the providence of good over evil. We have invited artists and poets to contribute original works to be shared during the concerts.

Our first concert will be on October 29, 2021 at 7:30 pmat the First Congregational United Church of Christ 20 Oak Street in Asheville, NC

Our second concert will be on October 30, 2021 at 3pm at Grace Lutheran Church at 1245 6th Avenue West in Hendersonville, NC

Please join us at either location. If available, tickets may also be purchased at the door.

**COVID vaccinations and wearing of masks are required for attendance**
