Celebrate Chinese New Year with us at GateWay by learning about Qigong, ("chi kung") in this informal presentation with Qigong Master Bill Buckley. Qigong is an ancient Chinese system that can improve your health and wellbeing by integrating movement, breathing techniques, self-massage, sound, and meditation. Qigong, literally translated, means "energy work." Qi (Chi) is internal energy, the bioelectric force in all living things. Through the practice of Qigong, you can learn to feel your body's natural energy, develop and enhance that energy and lead the energy throughout your body. In this free one-hour session, Bill will give you an overview, guide you through some gentle movements and an opportunity to feel your internal energy. Bill has been practicing and teaching Qigong and Taiji for over 30 years. He holds his Qigong Master Certification from Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming, and a Qigong Instructor certification from Mantak Chia, another world-reknowned Qigong teacher and scholar.
