New York Scandia Symphony will present a program of seldom heard Scandinavian masterworks, including Helios Overture and An Imaginary Journey to the Faroe Islands by Carl Nielsen; Concertino for Two Horns and Orchestra by Friedrich Kuhlau; At the Castle Gate and Karelia Suite by Jean Sibelius; and Swedish Rhapsody No. 1 - Midsommarvaka by Hugo Alfven.  The orchestra numbers 50 musicians, selected from among the finest in NYC; solo horn players are Peter Reit and Will de Vos; and Scandia's music director Dorrit Matson will conduct.
