There's lots for everyone at the Juneteenth Festival on June 18, starting at noon.
. Great sounds on two stages, including The Hues Corporation (remember "Rock the Boat"?!), Ms. Jazz, The Elevation Band, Cincy Brazil Samba, Jazz Renaissance, and much more.
. Experience Voices of Freedom, the reflections of 10 artists and poets on the emotional impact of Emancipation
. Chat about History with Abraham Lincoln, the Taft Museum's Buffalo Soldiers, and members of the 5th Ohio Colored Troop.
. Shuttle to the Cincinnati Art Museum for a special art "scavenger hunt"
. Kids of all ages will have a great time in children's are-crafts, story time with local leaders, face painting, free books, petting zoo, and even free horse rides.
. Shop with the Juneteenth vendors, have your vitals checked at the Health tent, and absorb a bit of history at the History tent, and learn about a variety of community services.
. And, of course, there will be food for all tastes.
