Second Annual "YOGA ON THE GREEN"

Would you like to be part of a movement to fight cancer while experiencing a day of yoga, friendship and positivity in a beautiful outdoor setting? Please join us on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Huntington Park from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a fun-filled morning of yoga activities interspersed with messages of hope with proceeds helping fund cutting-edge cancer research in Ohio.

This unique event will bring together health-focused individuals like yourself, participating in yoga sessions lead by professional instructors. You'll enjoy relaxing music on the baseball stadium field with magnificent views of downtown Columbus.

The morning will begin at 8 a.m. and run until 12 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a yoga session led by Julie Wilkes, featuring Metta Stick Yoga, motivational speaker Michele Faith, movement to African Drums with Victoria Frye and closing with restorative yoga and meditation with Liz Baldridge.

Ohio Cancer Research is an independent, statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to the cure and prevention of cancer, and the reduction of its debilitating effects through aggressive basic seed-money research, cancer information and awareness.

Artists / Speakers: Julie Wilkes: Julie is the North American Wellness Lead for Accenture, a Global Fortune 500 Company, CEO and Owner of Seven Studios (a yoga and fitness studio), published author of The 7 Life Miracles, a Life Coach, a motivational speaker and an entrepreneur, owning several companies, including: good energy by SEVEN aromatherapy product line, an online life coaching series and a public speaking academy. She has also created the Metta Stick Yoga Movement which is launching in the U.S. this year., Michele Faith: is a certified EMBER teacher (trauma sensitive yoga), a certified Pranayama teacher and a Reiki Master. During her battle with breast cancer in 2018, Michele personally felt the supportive power of yoga. Through meditation, breath work and gentle yoga movements, she was able to heal physically and emotionally., Liz Baldridge: is a 500hr RYT who specializes in Therapeutic, Yin, Restorative and Hatha Yoga. She is also an iRest level 1 teacher in training and loves to teach meditation. She believes that yoga is for everyBODY and EVERYbody and her heartfelt desire in life is to support people in finding ways to relax their bodies and minds with the help of yoga., Victoria Frye: has worked in the fitness industry for over 3 decades and discovered Yoga about 9 years ago. While in search of something "more", her yoga journey led to becoming a 200 RYT, 100 Hr EMBER Trauma Sensitive (2017) and resilience-focused yoga teacher. She is also the founder of Black Lotus Sanctuary which is a holding space for freedom and safety in movement, expression, thoughts and conversation.
