Ghost Walk

Chillicothe – With much excitement and preparation, the Ghost Walk event will return to the Downtown Chillicothe area this September 25th, from 10am to 6pm. After canceling last year's event due to the pandemic, the event's committee members began working diligently this Spring to coordinator this year's event with health safety being the top priority, while giving the event's patrons what they want... touring reportedly haunted locations in the Downtown area. This year's Ghost Walk event will feature 4 locations. Three of the locations have been featured in past events: The Ross County Archives, the Masonic Lodge, and the Majestic Theatre; while the fourth location is new to the event, Porch Swing Days Antique Shop.

 The Ghost Walk Event is a one-day event, in which each location is open to the event patrons to tour with storytellers who share the ghostly tales of events that have reportedly taken place within the building, along with the evidence and information that has been discovered through paranormal investigations with the team, S.E.E.R.s. Each location opens for tours at 10am, and will send tour groups through on schedule until 6pm. Patrons are free to choose which location they would like to visit and tour, in the order that they prefer, which leaves time for lunch, shopping, and visiting the other businesses in the Downtown area. The tours are building specific, allowing patrons to visit on their schedule instead of being shuffled throughout the Downtown area in large groups.

 To best experience the event, patrons are encouraged to decide on the order of locations that they would like to visit throughout the 10am to 6pm time-frame, and schedule in their lunches and shopping times, as well. This will ensure that patrons are able to experience everything within the hours of the event's operation, without missing out on anything.

 The Ghost Walk Event is a fundraiser for the annual Chillicothe Halloween Festival, which takes place on the second weekend of October (8th, 9th, and 10th, 2021). The proceeds from tickets for the Ghost Walk Event support the CHF.

​TOURING THE LOCTIONS

Each location on the Ghost Walk Tours opens at 10am on the day of the event, and patrons are free to choose which location they wish to visit and tour in the order that they want. Tours are location specific, and DO NOT consist of one long continuous tour from location to location. 

​When you visit a location to tour, there will be a table located in front of the location, and lines will form outside to allow the appropriate amount of patrons to tour at a time. Waiting will be required at some of the locations due to the size of the building. 

​Event Members will be present at each location to ensure that tours are moving consistently throughout the location. 

​This is a RAIN-OR-SHINE Event! Refunds cannot be issued unless inclement weather has been announced by local law officials.
