Middle Bass Island, OH – The Middle Bass Dock Company presents the Middle Bass Music Festival at Middle Bass Island State Park. It will be held on the Lonz Patio and Pavilion on Saturday, July 17, 2019 from 12 noon – 7 PM. Admission is free, and all are welcome.  It’s going to be a great time with live music, artist demonstrations, food trucks, beer, wine, and all your neighbors hanging out enjoying some Middle Bass Island charm.

The Middle Bass Music Fest is brought to you by The Middle Bass Dock Company, The Middle Bass Island State Park & Ohio Department of Natural Resources, The Island Grind at the Lonz Winery Press House, Lake Erie Shores and Islands, Ohio Arts Council and your Lake Erie Islands Conservancy http://www.lakeerieislandsconservancy.org

The beautiful Lonz Winery Patio will be filled with the sounds of:

  • The Chardon Polka Band – A wildly entertaining look at polkas in the modern age
  • Cats on Holiday will be there.. a Zydeco and Funk Folk Band from Cleveland
  • Sonic Boom fusion jazz from Middle Bass
  • The super-hot blues guitar of Sam Hooper and his Blues Band from Cleveland

There will be an artist tent sponsored by the Ohio Arts Council where guests will have an opportunity to explore different art mediums.

Come hungry and thirsty, Jimmy G’s BBQ, The Port Clinton Rotary Perch Wagon, Heineman's Winery, Catawba Island Brewing are our concession partners, with a new addition - The Island Grind at the Lonz Winery Press House.

Ride the Miller Ferry from Catawba Island or the Sonny S from downtown Put-In-Bay and join us for the day.  There will be a special 7:15 PM Ferry leaving Middle Bass that evening and returning to Catawba Island. You can spend the night on Middle Bass Island or tie your own boat up at the Middle Bass Island State Park Marina. 

While on the island, take a moment to tour the Lonz winery museum with its five historic Civil War era wine cellars. The museum showcases the history of Lonz Winery with exhibits of century old wine making equipment. Walk the state park trails and enjoy a fun and relaxing family adventure. 

Proceeds from the Middle Bass Music Festival will be donated to Lake Erie Islands Conservancy encouraging conservation and protection of natural and agricultural lands in the Lake Erie Islands since the year 2000. Their mission is to protect and conserve natural areas of the islands from commercial and private development.
