Community Partners for Affordable Housing (CPAH) will be presenting its 23rd annual Home Word Bound fundraiser virtually on Friday April 16th at 6:30 p.m. CPAH is a non-profit housing developer that started in Tigard in 1993 and has expanded into Washington County and SW Portland. It currently has ten apartment communities serving over 900 low-and-moderate income families, seniors, veterans and people with disabilities. The funds raised at Home Word Bound will enhance programs for residents that provide eviction prevention and housing stabilization services, youth programming, senior programming, food assistance, school supplies and community building activities. Additional information regarding CPAH's programs and services is available on CPAH's website: cpahoregon.org
Home Word Bound will be hosted by Julianne Johnson, Director of Music at PCC, and Misty Marquam of Marquam Auctioneers. The pre-show will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the livestreaming at 7:00 p.m. Local authors Cheryl Strayed, Willy Vlautin, and Bart King will be featured as well as current Oregon Poet Laureate Anis Mojgani. There is also a raffle for a 2-night beach stay in Seaside and a Music Millenium gift certificate as well as a wine and chocolate package available for purchase prior to the event.
