Thanks to the generosity of The Greater Pike Community Foundation, Peters Valley School of Craft invites the public to attend a series of free artist lectures held monthly at the Pike County Public Library on East Harford Street in Milford, PA.
On Thurdsay, May 23rd at 7:00pm, ceramic artist Max Seinfeld will talk about his practice as a full time studio artist in Danbury, Connecticut. Max makes one-of-a-kind abstract ceramics sculptures out of porcelain, earthenware, and non-traditional materials. He is currently the Assistant Director of Sugar Maples Center for Creative Arts in New York and exhibits and teaches private lessons and workshops nationally as well as internationally. In 2014 he received his BFA from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, and finished his post baccalaureate studies from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2015. Following a two year residency at The Clay Art Center in Port Chester, NY, and a two year assistantship with Doug Peltzman, Max continues to assist a number of ceramic workshops at art centers across the country including Arrowmont, Peters Valley, Haystack, and Pendlandfor studio potters Doug Peltzman and Adam Field.
