One Bite One Day

One Bite One Day is a kicked-up cocktail party showcasing local Pittsburgh-area chefs each creating and serving a bite-sized signature dish. Each chef is partnered with a bartender from the United States Bartenders' Guild who designs a complementary cocktail-to produce the perfect pairing for our guests. All proceeds benefit One Day to Remember: a nonprofit organization serving children who have a parent fighting a life-limiting illness (like cancer) by providing them with one fun, cost-free day to enjoy making memories together as a family.

One Day to Remember operates solely on donations. This event, One Bite One Day, accounts for a large portion of our operating budget for the year, which makes it incredibly important. While major advances in cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment have resulted in longer survival, a cancer diagnosis can leave a host of problems in its wake within the family system. Physical, emotional, and financial hardships often persist for years after diagnosis and treatment. When a parent is diagnosed, it is often the children who are hit the hardest. Money and time that was once spent together doing fun activities and going on vacations as a family is now spent on treatments and scans. This is why it is so unbelievably important for us to continue to provide a respite and some joy to these children and their families.
