Pittsburgh Walk to End Alzheimer's

The 2021 Pittsburgh Walk to End Alzheimer's will take place on Saturday, October 16 at Highmark Stadium. With over 2,000 anticipated participants, the morning will pay tribute and recognize those fighting Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, as well as the caregivers in their lives. Over 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's with over 11 million Americans providing unpaid care for people with Alzheimer's and other dementias. Register at act.alz.org/Pittsburgh2021

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is full of flowers, each carried by someone committed to ending this disease. Because like flowers, our participants don't stop when something's in their way. They keep raising funds and awareness for a breakthrough in the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

The morning will consist of family-friendly activities, sponsor and vendor booths, ceremony and Promise Garden, memory wall, and culminate with a 2-mile walk around Highmark Stadium and Station Square. There will be entertainment, food trucks, and more! This is a family friendly event, but please no pets are permitted in Highmark Stadium (service animals welcome). The funds raised through this event go to support the Alzheimer's Association - Greater PA Chapter's care and support services, including a 24-hour helpline, as well as research into Alzheimer's and other dementias. Held annually in more than 600 communities' nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association's Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support, and research. The Walk to End Alzheimer's is ranked second in peer-to-peer fundraising events and this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.
