Return to to Bethlehem Drive Thru Nativity.

A beloved annual Christmas tradition continues in the South Strand, a Live Drive-Thru Nativity you can enjoy with your family and friends, called "Return to Bethlehem". The Church of the Resurrection, located in Surfside Beach will pull out all the stops and host the area's only one-of-a-kind Living Drive-Through Nativity. You can enjoy this production from the comfort of your car. The incredible set-up includes 7 scenes with live actors and animals, music and impressive sets that visitors can enjoy without ever having to leave the warmth of their vehicle.

Mark your calendars now for December 11th and 12th (rain date is December 13th), so you can see the Grand Strand's one of a kind Living Nativity from the comfort of your car from 5:30 to 8:30 PM both nights!

Put the kids in their PJ's, pack your car with family and friends, bring hot chocolate and play Christmas music as you wait to enter the Town of Bethlehem. We anticipate people to come from all around to see this unique display and lines could only get longer as the evening progresses.

This live holiday event will tell the story of the birth of Christ using a cast of over 50 people and live animals including camels, donkeys, goats, llamas, sheep and calf. Guests will see familiar scenes from the Bible, including impactful tableaus of a busy Bethlehem street, the traditional manger scene and perhaps the most striking, the singing angel tree. Our prayer is that people will be so touched by what they see, they will want to bring families and friends to help them understand the real meaning of Christmas.

Admission is free to all, but the church does provide an opportunity to make a freewill donation at the end of the program.

In what has become a beloved annual tradition, we recommend visitors arrive early as we expect a large crowd, it will be worth the wait.
