8th Indie Meme Film Festival

The 8th Indie Meme Film Festival is back this April, bringing the best of South Asian and Iranian cinema to audiences through in-person screenings, QandAs, mixers, and filmmaker events.The festival comes to Austin from April 12th - 16th with screenings held at the Austin Film Society. A selection of virtual screenings will arrive April 28 - May 1st, 2023.

With more than 20 films covering over 13 different languages from 10 different countries, the 8th Indie Meme Film Festival is set to be one of the most exciting events of the year! From short films, feature films and documentaries, this film festival aims to showcase a spectrum of diverse stories from the most talented filmmakers from South Asia. Oscar Nominations, Debut films, International and US Premiers, Celebrities and Controversies are all a part of this year's programming!
