BSC's Success Management Guide Series (11 sessions) focuses on the six major business systems you need to manage effectively your small business for success:

1. Sales
2. Marketing
3. Operations
4. Financial Mgmt
5. Data & Records Mgmt
6. Personnel Administration/Business Infrastructure

The series is based on the skills taught in our award-winning Street MBA (created for Austin Community College) and Owners MBA and our BSC Business Accelerator/Incubator programs. It takes into consideration the issues faced by small business owners who have to be more creative and focused to meet the challenges of running a business, finding the work, doing the work, and having a life!

Each session meets online on the 2nd Thursday of the Month, 11am-12pm Central.

You do not have to attend all sessions. If you do, we will issue you a certificate of completion from the Business Success Center which can be helpful if you are looking for a loan, partner, or investor.

Jan. 12: #1 Successful Business Owner Profile Development

Who are you? You want to know because to be successful, your six major business systems need to complement not compete with who you are.

Takeaway: Assemble your own profile that you can use as a mapping tool for focusing on the systems that can make your business easier to run and more successful.

Feb. 9: #2 Business Planning: Types, Styles, and Purposes

There is not just one type of business plan — even if the purpose is the same. This Success Management Guide webinar focuses on types of plans to choose from based on the major factors you need to consider besides purpose.

Takeaway: Decide which one is the right choice to meet your immediate and long term goals.

March 9: #3 Systems Overview: Policies, Procedures, Processes & Compliance

Success in business requires the right systems that are in compliance with you and your various stakeholders.

Takeaway: Get an overview of all of the systems that you as the owner need to identify, develop, implement, evaluate, and improve. This is the basis for understanding how the six successful business systems have to work together that we will be discussing each month through November.

Sessions for each quarter are announced before the beginning of that quarter.

Success Management Webinar Presenter: Jan Triplett, Ph.D., CBTAC, Director is the co-author of Thinking Big, Staying Small and Easy to Be Green and author of The Networker's Guide to Success.
