Run for Rover 5K

The City will host Run for Rover, the furriest 5K benefiting our four-legged friends, on Saturday, February 26 at 9 a.m. Sign up your pup for a race supporting the Carrollton Animal Services & Adoption Center. The race will start at McInnish Dog Park & Sports Complex (1845 Legends Trail) and will route through the sports complex for a full 5K. A shorter 1-mile fun run/walk route will be offered to smaller or older dogs, or dogs who are still working off some holiday weight.

Don’t have a dog? You can still participate. Or even better, swing by the Adoption Center where your new best friend is waiting for you. Preregister by Tuesday, February 22 to receive the $35 rate for the 5K or for the 1-mile Fun Run/Walk. Preregistration guarantees a race T-shirt, race bag, and timing chip for the 5K. The price increases to $45 on race day. Packet pick-up will be Friday, February 25 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Rosemeade Recreation Center (1330 E. Rosemeade Parkway).

Race Day Schedule

Race Day Registration: 7 -7:45 a.m.

Dog Games: 8 a.m.

Warm-up: 8:45 a.m.

5K: 9 a.m.

1-Mile Fun Run/Walk: 9:05 a.m.

Awards Ceremony: 10 a.m.
