Join us as we welcome back the acclaimed clarinetist Julian Milkis (classical star and crossover artist, the only pupil of the great Benny Goodman) for a night that promises to enchant and inspire. Experience the exquisite melodies of American composer Florence Price's lush string quartet (The first African American woman to have a symphony performed by a major American orchestra), paired with Milkis' extraordinary renditions of short works that will leave you breathless. In addition Johannes Brahms' timeless Clarinet Quintet, will be performed with the unparalleled skill and passion that Milkis and the National Chamber Ensemble bring to the stage.
Jatrice Martel Gaiter, Executive Vice President of External Affairs for Volunteers of America, will be gracing us with her presence as our special guest host for the evening. Get ready for an event that's as memorable as it is magical.
Mark your calendars and join us for a night of enchanting music at the Gunston Arts Center on March 23rd.
