POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER FORECAST: Colonial Beach has "Gone to the Dogs" in Memory of Sharon Smith, who founded this event in 2011. Formerly known as Dog Day of August, we moved the 12th Almost Annual Event to May for multiple reasons, but primarily because the Dog Days of August have become too hot for dogs and their people. Join us for the "Dog and Handler" Parade followed by very amateur fun and games including fetch, best trick, find the bone, stay and recall, agility, and water retrieval.

Sign-up to Participate with your Dog OR to Volunteer to Help with the Event!

The 12th Almost Colonial Beach Dog Day is hosted by Colonial Beach Rivah Dogs, Colonial Beach Humane Society, Colonial Beach Yacht Center (The Schick Family), Coldwell Banker Elite (Relda Schick), Ask Dr. Caryn and Beach Paws Boutique (Caryn Self Sullivan), and YOUR NAME HERE. Music is provided by Hard To Tell, Rockabilly and Blues band. Proceeds benefit the Colonial Beach Humane Society and Colonial Beach Rivah Dogs.
