Juneteenth in Colonial Beach

2nd Annual Juneteenth event in Colonial Beach: "A Family Affair" co-hosted by Coming to the Table CBVA, the Westmoreland County NAACP, Colonial Beach Greenspace, and the Town of Colonial Beach Parks and Rec Department on Saturday, June 17th from 10-3 on Town Hill. Please bring your own lawn chair!

It's "A Family Affair" here in Westmoreland County with a rich history and bright future. We will celebrate Freedom Day and the incredible legacy of local families as they share their stories. We will honor our ancestors and recognize local people who are leading the way forward. Our event has expanded this year with the addition of Slam! Stewart and Motown Butta. Join us on Town Hill for drumming, inspirational and educational interviews, speakers, exhibits, DJ Ro Cube, MC Mecca Marsh, and vendors starting at 10:00 AM.

The afternoon will be filled with music by Motown Butta as you visit with family and friends, enjoy food and drink from local vendors, and explore the exhibitor's booths. Local Black-owned Businesses and Educational Exhibitors will be on the Hill throughout the day. You will have the opportunity to Sip 'n Stroll from 12-3 with adult beverages available from our ABC Licensees within the DORA Zone. Please bring your own lawn chair to enjoy the music and visit with friends and family.
