Seattle International Dance Festival 2023

The Seattle International Dance Festival 2023 edition presents local, national and international artists from France, South Korea, Switzerland, Mexico, New Jersey, California and the Pacific Northwest. Festival director, Cyrus Khambatta along with special guests, Eva Stone and Donald Byrd, curate a beehive of creativity for Seattle audiences beginning June 10th with an opening night kick off in which Mr. Byrd presents the Olympic Ballet Theater performing alongside AZOTH Dance Theatre (France). The festival closes June 18, with guest curator Eva Stone presenting works by Pacific Northwest Ballet dancer Price Suddarth with his new company, JUMPKUT, and recent NYC dance world transplant Emily Schoen Branch, performing with Khambatta Dance Company, and Victoria Gutierrez (Mexico/Seattle).

Over twenty dance works will be presented over the course of the festival; musical collaborations and international exchanges abound with themes that range from the amusing, to the penetrating and impactful. The second weekend of the festival hosts a special featured region event, the South Korea Fest will present four Korean companies. Topics cover by festival artists include everything from packing boxes to dark romanticism, and even parenthood.

Ticket buyers can select from individual show options or buy a pass to see it all, with two pass options to choose from.

The opening and closing night of SIDF takes place at Broadway Performance Hall located and all other performances take place at The Erickson Theater.
