(Riverton, WY) As COVID-19 restrictions handed down by the office of Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon continue to ease, the public as well as micro-business owners and "solopreneurs" are invited to join a new series of two-day flea markets in Fremont County.

Patron admission is free and you will likely see "the expected," including horse saddles and tack, antiques, furniture, vintage clothing, jewelry, taxidermy, tools, household goods, miniature "stores" as well as the unexpected. What's the unexpected? To answer that question you're invited to stop in and browse, plus drop your free tickets into metal pails for prize drawings tailored for adults and children. Some of the prizes for the first market being held at the end of March in Riverton include Easter baskets and play sets for the kids, with some individual item values approaching the $50 range.

For vendors, there are more than a few reasons to participate in the new schedule of flea markets hosted by Cowboy State Marketing, one of which is the marketing, intentionally reaching a broad audience to draw more people in to see what's for sale. Another reason is the philosophy of founder, Maralyne Middour, who believes any event should be a celebration and be infused with FUN - a word that has been absent in many vocabularies over the past year.

Middour has also made a commitment to make sure that every vendor is welcomed with a swag bag containing helpful items, discount coupons and free tickets so vendors may enter a drawing for the chance that their next flea market appearance will be in a free booth space. Middour says everyone is welcome to be a vendor, whether selling antiques, estate items, hand-made creations, second hand goods, refurbished items, or if the booth is being used for business.

For those working a side hustle or new venture, Middour hopes to be an inspiration and share her networking expertise, citing the many people who seized the opportunity presented by the 'dumpster fire of 2020' as a reason to pivot and strike out as entrepreneurs. For those with services or products to sell but who are not quite ready for a storefront, or still working from the dining room table or spare bedroom, the flea market setting offers an affordable solution. Middour took the entrepreneurial nod herself in 2020 after choosing to dump the 16-plus hour workdays with no benefits and no future. While hosting flea markets will fall short as a replacement for employment, she believes in the potential to make the local community stronger and afford networking connections, opening up the opportunity to meet new people who are positive and brimming with enthusiasm.

The first in the series of two-day flea markets is slated for March 27th and 28th inside the Fremont Center at the Fremont County Fairgrounds, located at 1010 Fairground Road in Riverton, Wyoming. Additional flea markets are already scheduled for Riverton and an early summer flea market is will be happening at the Headwaters Arts and Conference Center at 20 Stalnaker Street in Dubois, WY on June 26th and 27th.

Vendor spaces start at just $45 for a two-day indoor rental and can be reserved online with no payment information required at: https://855gowyoming.wufoo.com/forms/mxhu87i0xkf5mk/
